Golf Course

An iconic masterpiece of a bygone era, redesigned for the modern golfer, Redlands Country Club has the oldest course in Southern California still played on its original ground. The first course was laid out in 1896 with nine holes. The present 18-hole course was built in 1927.  Alister MacKenzie, the famed architect of Augusta National, was a principal consultant on the design.

The PGA championship layout is considered one of the finest in Southern California, offering challenges to players of all skill levels. The course takes full advantage of the natural landscape. Rolling fairways result in interesting lies, and contoured greens seem to defy gravity.

In 2016, the country club began a multi-year course upgrade and renovation project under the supervision of architect Todd Eckenrode. The course is being returned to its original 1927 design, but with a twist to modernize it for the 21st century golfer. When you get the opportunity to play Redlands, you will sense immediately that it is unlike any other golf experience.

Many of our members comment that even after playing here for years, they still discover new things about the course and find it challenging.
